KinoSonic is a three-day film festival created by Simon Aeppli, Matthew Lindsey, Laura Lee, and Sophie Easterbrook. Hosted at the Farnham Maltings, the festival was supported by funding from the University for the Creative Arts Knowledge Exchange.

A celebration of sound and image, exploring creative approaches to film and beyond.

Highlights of KinoSonic 2024 include the four-piece band Minima performing a live score to Alfred Hitchock’s classic 1927 silent film The Lodger, discussions with acclaimed filmmakers Robert Morgan and Peter Strickland, and an exclusive Q&A with musician and filmmaker Natasha Khan, known as Bat for Lashes, following a screening of her film The Dream of Delphi—A New Transmission.
